Eileen S. Lemmon

Prior to commencing a career in law, Eileen Lemmon had a diversified practice in the health care field: active duty with the U.S. Army Nurse Corps with service at the 121st Evacuation Hospital in South Korea and in stateside postings, with clinical experience in medical and surgical critical care. Civilian nursing experience included Los Angeles County USC Medical Center and public health nursing at the Boulder (Colorado) City/County Health Department. After receiving her Masters’ Degree she spent several years in nursing education as a full time faculty member of the Loma Linda University School of Nursing.

Her legal career started with general insurance defense where she handled cases involving premises liability, auto accidents and public entity representation covering a wide range of legal issues. The majority of Eileen’s legal career has been devoted to representation of health care providers in medical negligence actions in addition to related legal matters involving health care entities. She was in the Riverside office of LaFollette, Johnson, De Haas, Festler & Ames for a number of years prior to joining the firm of Reback, McAndrews, Kjar, Warford & Stockalper where she was involved in the opening of the Inland Empire Office. Eileen is a partner with Reback, McAndrews, Kjar, Warford & Stockalper.


Born: Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Admitted to California State Bar (1987) and U.S. District Court, Central District of California (1989).

Education: Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, Pa., (B.S. 1963); Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, Ca., (M.S., 1978); Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, Ca., (J.D., 1987).

Honors and Distinctions: Member of several honorary nursing fraternities, Scoot Moot Court Honors Board, Outstanding Young Women of America, Who’s Who in American Nursing.

Publications: Articles on medical legal issues have appeared in the San Bernardino County Medical Society Bulletin (now the Southern California Physician), Nurseweek, and various nursing continuing education course materials.

Presentations, Teaching and Seminars: Over the years, Eileen has made numerous presentations to health care institutions and groups in and outside of California, both as a presenter at formal seminars and educational programs as well as delivering full and half day programs which she herself developed, covering a wide range of topics of interest to the practicing health care specialist. She continues to be a frequently invited speaker to area hospitals, nursing and medical groups on medical legal issues and on end of life medical care, ethical concerns and the law.
