James J. Kjar

James J. Kjar is a senior partner in the Law Firm of Reback, McAndrews, Kjar, Warford & Stockalper, located in Manhattan Beach, California, which specializes in the trial of civil defense, personal injury cases, particularly in the area of professional liability.

He has concentrated his practice for the past 30 years in the defense of civil injury cases. Mr. Kjar's experience also includes the trial of cases in the areas of products liability, employment law, general liability, automobile, and insurance bad faith. Mr. Kjar has written and lectured extensively in the area of trial tactics and techniques.

He has been invited to lecture on the subject numerous times by the California Trial Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers Association at their annual conventions, which are the two largest plaintiff personal injury trial organizations in the United States. Mr. Kjar has also lectured to hospitals and health organization on risk management and preventative medico-legal medicine, including at the University of Southern California School of Medicine.

Mr. Kjar has extensive experience in representing attorneys in legal malpractice actions and State Bar proceedings. He has lectured to a number of Trial Lawyer Organizations on the subject, as well as to the University of Southern California School of Law.

Mr. Kjar has served on the board of directors of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel based in Los Angeles. The ASCDC is the largest defense lawyer organization in the United States. He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the California Medical Legal Committee.
